Previous Events at the Club:Year 2007


12/2007: Academic Achievement Award: December 30th, on Sunday Spartak Sports Club will be presenting the Academic Achievement Award, Winter 2007 to the best Student-Athlete of the club.   We have proudly launched this new program, which is aimed at identifying the student-athlete who achieveved the highest academic marks for the semester.   This is one of many steps we take to promoting Great Education -- the number one priority of our club.   The teaching staff of the club carefully evaluated our students' academic progress to identify our club's best Student-Athlete.   Students' discipline in the club and behavior at home signifcantly factored into the screening process.   The best Student-Athlete will receive an Award Trophy, Certificate and $100 check from Spartak Sports Club, Inc.

The Camp Of Champions 08/19/07 - 08/24/07: Presented by North York Judo Club.   Two of our atheletes are now in Montreal traning at the camp under the head coaching of Nicholas Gill.   Steve Fayzakov and Daniel Palatnik are due to come to New York on 08/25 to share their learnings with fellow students.

08/2007: The Camp Of Champions 08/19/07 - 08/24/07: Presented by North York Judo Club.   Two of our atheletes are now in Montreal traning at the camp under the head coaching of Nicholas Gill.   Steve Fayzakov and Daniel Palatnik are due to come to New York on 08/25 to share their learnings with fellow students.


Judo World Championship 09/09/07: This time it is in Rio de Janeiro.   And our Head Coach will be traveling with William Taraje Murray to win the Gold for the Men 60kg Judo World title.   This is a long waited event and we wish the best of luck to Taraje to win and come back without injuries.

Junior US Open Championship07/29/07: This international tournament is one of the most important events for our junior judokas this year.   Our juniors returned from this event with one Gold and three Bronze medals.   Complete results information can be found on the What's New page.


USJA Junior National Championships07/06/07: Our judokas brought back Gold, Silver and Bronze from this very important competition in Indianapolis.   You can find our juniors' results on the What's New page.


Summer Sports Activities are now open and operate Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm.  Along with many interesting activities we now offer extra Judo classes held in the morning every day.
