05/09/2009 -- Morris Cup 2009. This is the last Zebra Tour event in 2009 -- a USA Judo “E” Level Tournament. The application is available on line.

05/02-03/2009 -- New York State Judo Juniors Olympics. This tournament honors THE MEMORY OF RADOMIR KOVACEVIC. The applications are available on line for Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3 events.

03/28-29/2009 -- 2009 USA JUDO Youtth and Scholastic Nationall Judo Championships. USA Judo Sanctioned youth point tournament. Read the tournament details and download application from USA Judo web site.

03/21/2009 -- Ocean State International 2009. USA Judo Sanctioned International Tournament. Expected 500+ athletes from around the world. Read the tournament details and download application now to avoid late fees (to be sent before 02/14/2009).

03/08/2009 -- New York Open Judo Championship 2009. USA Judo Sanctioned International Tournament. This international B level tournament attracts competitors from over 20 countries every year. 01/18/2009 -- 16th Annual Starrett Cup. The Starrett cup will take place on Sunday, January 18th 2009 at Kingsboro Community College, as in the past. This is a A 2009 ZEBRA tour event. 12/14/2008 -- Starrett Holiday Invitational. This competition is especially organized for children and teenagers starting at the age of 5 until 16 years old. If you'd like to participate, please complete and send the Starrett Holiday Invitational application. Competition will be held in Brooklyn - make sure you inform the coaches if you'd like to participate. Register now to avoid a late payment fee.

11/30/2008 -- 2008 Nakabayashi Judo Championships. This is one of the most attended regional championships in NY Tri State area. The application is available for download. Send the application before the date line to avoid additional fees.

11/12 - 17/2008 -- 5th Junior World Kurash Championship. Spartak's athletes are now taking on a different type of a challenge. Our students will travel to Istanbul, Turkey to take part in this prestigious Kurash championship.

10/25 - 26/2008 -- 2008 Junior World Championship. This World Championship is a vital event for Spartak Sports Club and one its pupils, Steve Fayzakov. He will be traveling to Bangkok, Thailand with the Head Coach Arakadiy Aronov to take part in this shiai.

09/28/2008 -- 2008 US Open. One of the major events in US Judo in 2008. Find more information about this championship from the Competitors Entry Package or by visiting the USA Judo.

09/20 - 21/2008 -- 42nd Annual Invitational East Coast Judo Championship. Find more information about this tournament including times and directions by downloading the Competition Flyer. Also, you can download Competition Application.

08/31/2008 -- 2008 Fall Classic National Championships and Ladder Tournament & USA Judo Junior World Team Trials.   You can download the application on line.   Register now to avoid a late payment fee.

05/03-04/2008 -- New York State Judo Junior Olympics in honor of the memory of Radomir Kovacevic.   Green belt and up divisions weigh in on Saturday, 05/03/08 at 11:00 AM (entry package).   White to Orange belt divisions weigh in on Sunday, 05/04/08 at 09:00 AM (entry package).

01/29/2008 Promotions: Igor Bazilevich, Akram Iminov, Moiesey Rafailov, David Pinkhasov were promoted to the rank of Ikkyu (brown belt) January 29, 2008.   This is a great achievement that is the fruit of exceptional dedication and hard work.   Congratulations!

01/20/2008 15th Annual Starrett Judo Cup.   This is now one of the most popular competitions in the New York area.   We hope our athletes will do well in this challenge.   (results)

12/2007: Academic Achievement Award: December 30th, on Sunday Spartak Sports Club will be presenting the Academic Achievement Award, Winter 2007 to the best Student-Athlete of the club.   We have proudly launched this new program, which is aimed at identifying the student-athlete who achieveved the highest academic marks for the semester.   This is one of many steps we take to promoting Great Education -- the number one priority of our club.   The teaching staff of the club carefully evaluated our students' academic progress to identify our club's best Student-Athlete.   Students' discipline in the club and behavior at home signifcantly factored into the screening process.   The best Student-Athlete will receive an Award Trophy, Certificate and $100 check from Spartak Sports Club, Inc.

Judo World Championship 09/09/07: This time it is in Rio de Janeiro.   And our Head Coach will be traveling with William Taraje Murray to win the Gold for the Men 60kg Judo World title.   This is a long waited event and we wish the best of luck to Taraje to win and come back without injuries.

Junior US Open Championship07/29/07: This international tournament is one of the most important events for our junior judokas this year.   Our juniors returned from this event with one Gold and three Bronze medals.   Complete results information can be found on the What's New page.

USJA Junior National Championships07/06/07: Our judokas brought back Gold, Silver and Bronze from this very important competition in Indianapolis.   You can find our juniors' results on the What's New page.

Summer Sports Activities are now open and operate Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm.  Along with many interesting activities we now offer extra Judo classes held in the morning every day.
